Timberworks' Company History & Philosophy

Timberworks Forest Management & Specialty Works was founded by Nathan Waterfield in July of 2007.  The company has three main facets of expertise - Forest Management, Rustic Furniture, and Residential Tree Services.   Beginning in the summer of 2008, Timberworks is expanding to offer stone works, specializing in dry laid blue stone walls, patios, and walkways.  Check back for more information on our stone services in early September.

About the Owner

Nathan Waterfield is a graduate of the State University of New York (SUNY) College of Environmental Science and Forestry and the SUNY ESF Ranger School.  He holds an Associates Degree in Forest Technology and a Bachelors Degree in Forest Resource Management.  While in college, Nathan worked for one of the largest forest and timberland management companies in the northeastern United States, gaining valuable experience in forest inventory, sivilcultural prescription development, .  Nathan is a member of the Society of American Foresters (SAF), is an SAF Candidate Certified Forester, and is a Certified Trained Logger.

Nathan is also a professional Lumberjack Athlete, competing across North America, Spain, New Zealand, and Australia.  You can look for him in the Stihl Timbersports Series on ESPN2, and check out his Timbersports website at www.myspace.com/bucketchop.
